QCan we keep our existing cameras?

With Verkada's Command Connector, many existing cameras can be connected to Command and managed in the cloud. Supported models and features vary, so we check your setup first.

QWill our current card readers and cards work?

Verkada access control can run with your existing readers and cards, and you can move to Verkada readers or Apple Wallet later. We'll confirm compatibility with your hardware.

QWhat happens if the internet goes down?

Footage is stored on the camera itself. Access control keeps doors working through a network interruption, using edge processing and on-device storage.

QWhere is our data stored?

Cloud data can be stored in a region of your choice, including Japan. Processing regions are chosen separately, and some data, such as authentication data, is processed in the US — we'll go through the details with you before rollout.

QDo we have to use face recognition?

No. Sensitive features such as face recognition, vehicle history and audio are off by default. Your administrators decide whether to turn them on, in line with your policies.

QHow does licensing work?

Verkada combines hardware with a license for each device. Every purchase includes unlimited users, automatic updates and round-the-clock technical support. We'll recommend the right term and setup for you.

QHow long is the warranty?

Warranties vary by model, up to 10 years. All access control devices carry a 10-year warranty.
