Why Drupal for sites that need to last.

Drupal treats content as structure, not just pages — which is why it holds up as a site grows.

Structured content

Enter it once, use it everywhere

Content is defined field by field, so one entry can appear in listings, on the home page and in a calendar automatically.

Multilingual

Multilingual sites, one system

100+ languages, including Japanese, are available out of the box, with translations managed alongside the content.

API-first

Content beyond the website

JSON:API is built into core, so the same content can feed apps, Next.js or React front ends, and AI.

Security & accessibility

Security and accessibility

A dedicated security team handles vulnerabilities, and core targets WCAG 2.2 AA for both the admin and public interfaces.

No licence fees. Ever.

Drupal is open source under the GPL. No vendor lock-in — your site stays your own asset.

Drupal keeps moving forward.

Since 2025, Drupal CMS has made it much easier to build a site without deep technical knowledge.

Frequently asked questions

Anything else? Just ask.

QDoes Drupal cost anything?

Drupal itself is open source under the GPL, with no licence fees. Building, hosting and running the site are separate costs.

QWhat should we do about a Drupal 7 or 10 site?

Drupal 7 support ended in January 2025, and Drupal 10 ends on December 9, 2026. Genero will review your site and propose a plan to move to the latest version.

QIs it easy for content editors?

In Drupal CMS 2.0, drag-and-drop page building with Drupal Canvas comes as standard. We also design the editing experience as part of the build.

QDoes it work well for Japanese sites?

Yes. Drupal supports 100+ languages, including Japanese, and runs multilingual sites from one system. Genero's KamihayaCMS also follows the Digital Agency's website guidelines.

QCan we go headless?

Yes. JSON:API is built into core, so Drupal pairs with front ends such as Next.js or React.

QWhere would it be hosted?

We recommend based on your needs. As an Acquia Preferred Partner, Genero also works with Acquia's Drupal-optimized platform.
