"Drupal Contribution Day Japan 2025," an event to contribute to the development and improvement of the open source CMS "Drupal," will be held for the first time in Japan.
This event is a one-day opportunity for developers and project stakeholders interested in Drupal to gather and collaborate with the global Drupal development community, while also taking part in actual contributions such as code, documentation, and translations.

What is Contribution Day?
Drupal Contribution Day is a one-day intensive event where engineers, designers, and product professionals from around the world gather to make practical contributions to the improvement and evolution of the open source CMS "Drupal." It is usually held during the international conference "DrupalCon," and is known as a very practical and global initiative that allows direct connections with Drupal core developers and experts in various fields. This time, it will be held in Tokyo ahead of DrupalCon Nara, which will be held in Nara in November.
Drupal is an open source CMS that is widely used around the world and is widely adopted by government agencies, large corporations, universities, and other organizations for robust systems. Its adoption in Japan is also on the rise. However, the English-based development environment and the hurdle of contributions have become barriers to learning and participating for engineers and related parties.
